What to look out for when driving on the continent

 

In the UK, there are quite a few laws you should abide by when driving, but what about elsewhere in Europe? As any regular visitor to the mainland will tell you, laws tend to differ from country to country; but how much do they vary, and what are the most important things to prepare for?

According to this infographic created by the guys at Auto Web, there are a number of surprising laws that drivers must abide by in France. Remember to take a breathalyzer, a reflective jacket and to use your indicators if you don’t want to get fined!

Moving south to Italy, the laws there are a little less strict, but reflective jackets are a must. Oddly, so are replacement light bulbs, although they could come in handy if your lights aren’t working. Also, remember that you can’t use your horn in urban areas, even if you’re stuck in a jam that shows no sign of ending!
