It must have been mid way through high school when I got my first taste of Fugakyu. That blissful first time I put the Spider Roll to my lips, with the creamy avocado and crispy crab, is the moment I was hooked on Japanese cuisine (and was more than happy to have these expensive meals covered by my parental unit).
