eMarketer recently carried out a survey which showed 51% of UK shoppers preferred to book their holidays online. Not only does the nation like to book online, but we also like to leave reviews of our experiences online too. People are helping each other to find the best destinations and to have the best possible experience while they’re travelling.
In this digital age, it’s not surprising that Brits prefer to book their holidays online. The internet has made it easier than ever before to book holidays anywhere in the world.

Some still opt for tour operators
While most people do tend to book their holidays online, there are still some groups who prefer other options. Baby boomers (those aged 55-64), for example, tend to prefer booking with a tour operator. This is hardly surprising as the older generation aren’t as familiar with computers as younger people are.
