One of the earliest family vacations I took was to Aruba. Even today, I recall the beaches there being some of the best I’ve seen. The beauty of going to Aruba and places like it is there’s something for everyone. When you’re traveling with a family you have to deal with the different desires of several people and they don’t always align 100%. It’s great to go to a place where large groups can break off into smaller ones to pursue individual tastes. For example, Aruba offers a multitude of activities such as fine restaurant dining, casino gambling, beach getaways, and shopping, to name a few. While dad is away gambling at the casino, Mom and daughter can go on a shopping excursion leaving son to relax on the beach with a good book.
Getting around Aruba is quick and easy as the bus system is well developed, but many people just save themselves the trouble and rent a car. The island has free parking available and everyone drives on the right so it’s an easy transition for Americans.
The nightlife is surprisingly vibrant on account of the many resorts and casinos in the area. There is plenty of entertainment and shows to be seen. The island is well developed on account of tourism be]ing one of their main industries and therefore there is no shortage of places to go and grab a drink.

Perhaps the best way to do Aruba, however, is as part of a cruise. Cruises depart from Palm Beach piers and can be a great way to package transportation, entertainment and dining all in one. Having done two myself, I have to say it is nice to have everything taken care of sometimes.
Overall, an Aruba vacation should not be missed this winter. Forget the snow and enjoy the tropics of Aruba travel.
