After a full month in Myanmar without a single cooking class I was excited to get back to Thailand to take a class at the Blue Elephant Cooking School. Over the past few months I’ve taken many different cooking classes but without a doubt this one stands out from the rest.
After my first Thai cooking class at the Silom Thai Cooking School I was craving for more. There was no way I could leave Thailand with only one cooking class under my belt. For a change of scenery I figured why not combine a few…
Before we even got to Thailand I already knew I was going to be taking multiple cooking class. Thai food, after all is one of my favorites and there was no way I was leaving the country without a handful of recipes mastered.
Before even arriving in Vietnam I already knew I loved summer rolls. Fresh veggies, noodles and meat or shrimp all bundled in a rice paper wrapper to be dipped in a fish sauce based dipping sauce = perfection. So when I found the Hanoi Cooking Centre as being top rated cooking class on trip advisor AND offering spring roll themed cooking classes, I booked a class without hesitation.
For my first ever cooking class I chose Yangshuo cooking school in Yangshuo China. I had no idea what to expect and was a little apprehensive to be honest. Would my cooking skills be up to par with everyone else’s? What if I couldn’t master…
A review of one of our favorite beer bars in Washington DC – Bier Baron. Hundreds of bottled international beers to choose from as well as local drafts.
As with most of our dining experiences in DC we were led to Chez Billy through a online coupon (Gilt City this time). We had initially purchased 2 coupons to go skydiving but when the skydiving company turned out to be dodgy at best we decided to put safety first and turn in those vouchers for online coupon credits. So when I saw an offer for a 3 course price fixed meal with drinks included at a new posh restaurant in DC I jumped at the opportunity.
It must have been mid way through high school when I got my first taste of Fugakyu. That blissful first time I put the Spider Roll to my lips, with the creamy avocado and crispy crab, is the moment I was hooked on Japanese cuisine (and was more than happy to have these expensive meals covered by my parental unit).
The frozen yogurt fad started a couple years ago and it looks like it’s here to stay! This is a review of the fro-yo shop yogiberry that Dave and I go to (fairly often). It is located in Cleveland Park Washington DC.
Vicky and I celebrated 2 months of not eating out (we’re trying to minimize costs right now for our trip) by…eating out. Oh well, we had a living social deal, which I guess counts for something.
