The Most Romantic Spots for a Holiday

If you’re celebrating a wedding anniversary or just trying to spice things up a bit with your special someone, you need a couple’s vacation to someplace romantic. What you really need is some time with each other, and stay in luxury vacation rentals to afford you the sensual privacy you need.

Of course, it really does help if you pick the right spots to go to—Disneyworld isn’t quite the right place to ignite the passion. Instead, you should book your tickets to any of these spots:

  1. Paris, France. This is the stereotypical romantic spot that most people think about, but it tops the list for a reason. While the museums and art are great, what’s fantastic about this city is its utterly romantic ambiance. It’s like it’s been designed to make people for in love with each other. Walk around and then find a sidewalk café to relax every now and then, and then come back to your private villa for some romantic adventures of your own!
  2. Kyoto, Japan. Tokyo can be terribly frenetic, but Kyoto is far more relaxing. What you must do here is to book a ride on the boat that travels along the Okazaki Canal. During the spring season, the canal will be lined with gorgeous cherry blossoms. For the Japanese, the short blooming cycle of these blossoms is a constant reminder to enjoy your precious time now.
  3. The New England Berkshires. Find a villa here among the beautiful mountains and you can enjoy lots of nature. It’s why so many artists and writers come here for spiritual relaxation. It’s also filled with lots of culture, as you can enjoy the Boston Symphony Orchestra during the summer. You can also visit the mansion of Edith Wharton.
  4. Koh Tao, Thailand. This is a small island that’s renowned for its scuba diving. You can go scuba diving as a couple, but you can just both take a nice relaxing time on the beach. In the evening, the sunsets are simply amazing, while you enjoy a meal among the lantern-filled restaurants on the beach.
  5. Majorca, Spain. This is the biggest of the Spanish Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean, and it’s always a perennial favorite for vacationing couples. With the intimacy of a private villa and the soothing unspoiled beaches with golden sand, you’ll fall in love with each other all over again.
  6. Islamorada, Florida. The Key West can get a bit too rowdy with its boisterous crowds, but the two of you can instead visit this “Purple Isle” in the upper Florida Keys. Here a luxury villa can provide for your comfort needs, while the romantic sunsets offer the perfect backdrop for intimate moments.
  7. Kauai, Hawaii. If you want to get away from the crowds in this vacation state, your best bet is Kauai which is the least-developed of all the islands here. The natural beaches are splendid and they’re also secluded. The two of you can enjoy an invigorating hike through the picturesque mountains and then enjoy a romantic dip in the waterfalls, away from the crowds.
  8. Quebec City, Quebec. For a nice winter vacation for those who actually like the cold, it’s hard to beat Quebec City. The whole place looks like a Christmas greeting card. The streets are gorgeous with lots of snow, restaurants everywhere are warm and inviting, and your villa invariably has a fireplace so the two of you can cuddle.
  9. Florence, Italy. While plenty of Italian cities can offer museums and outdoor cafes, Florence just feels different and a lot more romantic. Try seeing the sunset from the Piazzale Michelangelo, and let the romance bloom.
  10. The Maldives. It’s widely considered as the most romantic archipelago in the world, and a stay here in your own private villa can provide you a world of your own. With its white sand beaches and clear turquoise seas, you’ll never want to leave.

The key to a romantic getaway is to be together and away from stressful crowds. Rent your own villa in one of these places, and reigniting romance will be the inevitable result.
