Monthly Budget Update – May
Vicky and I have been saving up for our trip since September. Every month we keep track of our finances to know how much we’re spending and how much remains for our budget. Our goal is to have $65k saved up for two years of travel through Europe and Asia.
Right now we have about $40K with 4 months to go!

At the rate that we are going I am not optimistic that we will reach $65k by the time we leave, however, I think there is an opportunity to earn money during our travels through the following streams:
- Advertising (web site)
- Donations
- Working Abroad
At worst, we will simply have to reevaluate our route to accommodate our financial situation.

great savings so far guys, i reckon 24 months will cost at least 30k each so your target is spot on

Fingers crossed we aren’t completely underestimating all the expenses we’ll have to incur! Hopefully eventually we’ll be able to make some money off our site to help with the spending – you make it seem so easy!

I actually left the UK 23 years with £140 and some clothes
Now 23 years later,I live abroad,have two homes and more freinds than I could ever hope for
More people should take some risks,especially when young and travel
It makes for a stronger charcter and more humbleness
